Bacchus on Bikes

Bacchus on Bikes - Catalonia

We have been introduced to Bacchus on bikes by Simon Gook and attach below some more details for anyone who may be interested in a ride in Catalonia either this year or in 2019

Hello Terry and Damian – as Simon said, we had a catchup yesterday in London and after hearing from about the COCC and looking at the website, I'd love to have a go myself! It looks great fun and an amazing charity fundraiser for a very worthy cause.

To tell you a little about Bacchus on Bikes – as you can probably guess from the name, our cycle tours include a variety of Bacchanalian tendencies. After Tony and our Catalan director, Josep Maria, toured almost every vineyard in the Empordà (bordering Girona) four years ago, it seemed more than logical to combine our favourite cellars and other epicurean pitstops on some of the most outstanding cycling (both road and mountain biking) routes in the region. Now we lead fixed date and bespoke private tours for groups that range from touring cyclists that prefer gentle morning rides and long lunches to guys that really want to hit it hard for 160km+ per day. We think a combination of the two usually works pretty well.

I've attached a brochure to give you an overview of what we do and if you think a group of COCCs would be keen to explore and ride Catalonia later this year or in 2019, please don't hesitate to call. I'll be releasing our fixed date departures for 2019 in a week or so.

Very much look forward to hearing from you and hope to meet you soon.

Best,

Gareth

This Sunday 29th July, in celebration of the final stage of the 2018 @letourdefrance we’re going to be hosting a day of cycling festivities at the @bluecoastbrewing tap room. .

At 11am for an 11:30am roll out, I will be hosting a 2hr bike ride around some of my favourite training roads close to the brewery in the Nice hills. Everyone is welcome of all abilities to join, we’ll have a coffee cart on hand to get you caffeinated before the ride. .

On return from the ride the beer will be flowing, and if you’re feeling peckish we have the Enfaim food truck that will be serving really great sandwiches and burgers all afternoon. .

If cycling isn’t your thing, the tap room will be open from 12 noon until 20h where we’ll be screening the final stage of @letourdefrance on our big screen as the riders race their way onto the Champs Elysées.

We’ll also have some fun games and competitions with cool prizes to be won going on throughout the afternoon too.

Put it in your diary, tell your mates to come along too and join us for what is sure to be a great day at the brewery. .

Hope to see you there! ✌🏻
